Microsoft Word offers innumerable great features for users to design document. To help the users quickly and easily design content, it generates a lot of Word keyboard shortcuts. However, there are a few users know all of these shortcuts. The surprise is Microsoft Word can quickly generate a list of all its keyboard shortcuts. The feature is built right in. As a keyboard shortcuts enthusiast, you just need to know how to unlock this feature.
In Word 2010, to generate Word keyboard shortcuts list, we need to enable the Developer tab first. Follow the steps below to enable Developer tab.
1. Go to the File menu, in the left pane, click Help and choose Options.
2. Click Customize Ribbon in the left pane.
3. Check Developer in the right pane and click OK.
After enable the Developer tab, do as the following instructions to generate Word keyboard shortcuts list:
1. Open a blank Word document.
2. Click the Developer tab, and then click Macros in the Code group.
3. In the Macros In control, select Word Commands.
4. In the Macro Name list, select (or type) ListCommands as the image shows below.
In Word 2010, to generate Word keyboard shortcuts list, we need to enable the Developer tab first. Follow the steps below to enable Developer tab.
1. Go to the File menu, in the left pane, click Help and choose Options.
2. Click Customize Ribbon in the left pane.
3. Check Developer in the right pane and click OK.

1. Open a blank Word document.
2. Click the Developer tab, and then click Macros in the Code group.

5. Click button “Run”.
6. In the resulting dialog box, click Current Keyboard Settings, and click OK.
6. In the resulting dialog box, click Current Keyboard Settings, and click OK.
Then, Word keyboard shortcuts list will be generated—about six to ten pages!
In Word 2007, we don’t need to enable Developer tab. Just do the following:
1. Open a blank Word document.
2. Go to the View menu and then click Macros in the Macros group.
3. In the Macros In control, select Word Commands.
4. In the Macro Name list, select ListCommands.
5. Click button “Run”.
6. In the resulting dialog box, click Current Keyboard Settings, and click OK.
If you are still using Word 2003, do the following:
1. Open a blank Word document.
2. Go to the Tools menu, choose Macro and select Macros.
3. Choose Word Commands from the Macros In control.
4. In the Macro Name list, select ListCommands.
5. Click button “Run”.
6. In the resulting dialog box, click Current Menu And Keyboard Settings.
7. Click OK.
Then, you can choose save or print the Word keyboard shortcuts list for later reference.
